Bank auction due-diligence checklist
Use this checklist to plan your own research; it cannot establish whether an individual property is safe or legally clear. Always consult the official bank notice and relevant qualified professionals.
Source authenticity
Confirm the bank’s official domain, issuing branch and current sale notice. Avoid transferring money based on a forwarded screenshot.
Property identity
For land and buildings, match survey numbers, boundaries, area, address and records. For vehicles, match registration and chassis identifiers.
Legal status
Obtain appropriate professional assistance to check title, encumbrances, disputes, court orders, liens and ownership claims.
Possession and access
Find out if possession is physical, symbolic, occupied or disputed. Do not assume you can take immediate possession.
Outstanding dues
Ask about property tax, society charges, utility bills, statutory liabilities and any costs not covered by the auction price.
Inspection and condition
Attend the inspection if available. Estimate repairs, structural issues, title regularisation or vehicle restoration costs.
Auction conditions
Check reserve, EMD, bidding increments, eligibility, registration deadline, bid window, forfeiture and final payment terms.
Date and cancellation risk
Check the most recent bank publication or written communication. Auctions may be postponed, relisted or withdrawn.
AuctionWindow is an independent discovery service; we do not hold deposits, conduct bids, check legal title or guarantee that a bank auction is still open. Verify all information directly with the issuer.
